Franchi’s Instinct Sideplate could be considered a modern classic, and honors the traditional under/over shotgun design by combining classic aesthetics with the latest innovations. Designed to be an extension of the shooter, the Instinct Sideplate is easy to shoulder with an overall design perfectly balanced for smooth swinging action when aiming at fast-moving targets. The Sideplate’s receiver is a perfect example of the fine Italian craftsmanship found on all of Franchi’s long guns. It features a color case hardening – not only does this provide a vintage appearance, it also gives the receiver better durability. In addition to the attractive case-hardening, the receiver also sports a beautifully engraved game scene with gold bird inlays and scroll etchings. Adding to the Sideplate’s visual appeal is its Prince of Wales stock and Schnabel fore-end. Both of which are made from the finest AA-grade Turkish walnut and are expertly fitted to provide excellent ergonomics. Other features of the Instinct Sideplate include a vented rib and barrels, a red fiber optic front sight, and gold inlays on the trigger.
