The compensator cuts at the front of the barrel and slide help mitigate recoil by redirecting gas upward, improving control during rapid fire. The absence of finger grooves and the addition of an ambidextrous slide stop lever reflect the ergonomic improvements Gen V brings to the classic G45 V format
